I worked in a company where we had stand alone computers. Due to this, we had duplication of work since the computers are not interconnected.
After going through thorough study of the available network technologies in the year 2000, we set up a the network. Structured cabling paved the way to interconnecting different computers. New systems that use this networking were to be studied too.
Continuous study of technology regarding this was needed in order to maintain this networked systems.
